She suffered from numerous organ problems, including failing kidneys. It was then a regimen of hemodialysis, followed by peritoneal dilution. Her return home was finally made after eighteen days in hospital, at a point when she was close to death, and began her long journey back to health. Her life had been forever changed. Angelica had completed a half-year of dialysis, and one year half year of treatment, was ready for her biggest operation of all - the replacement of her kidney. The kidney that would be donated to her came from none other than her mom. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom went through a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located across the street from each other-Emory University Hospital and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale, a young Atlantan girl who always wanted to be an actress as well as a performer she is still working toward that goal.
