Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her performances in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Koun..! Her career began in the 1980s and came into prominence thanks to her character in Tezaab, a film in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir on Dil. As a child her Mumbai-born dancer started learning at an early stage. When she was a teen, she began acting and suffered for several years due to the fact that her films at first were unsuccessful. In the end, she was successful in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. After marriage, she experienced a break in her career before re-entering the business. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. The actress was also honoured with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
